I got on this morning to get started on my faves and comments... Never did I realize how much support I was going to get on this photo. I hate to do this to all of you again, but there is no way I can thank each of you personally
Thank you to everyone who has viewed, commented or faved this photo, it really means so much to me.
So many of you have said that this shot reminds you of a certain poem. Here it is:
The Road Not Taken By Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.
This photograph is so simple yet it gives us a good idea of what really happens in our everyday lives, whether it is an easy or a hard decision to make, we have to choose what is the best for us all. The railroads seem to dissapear into the deep forest, so if we make a mistake, will there ever be a return? Is there even a mistake? Even though, we all have to make choices, no matter what. I can't even explain it in nice and easy words.
Anyhow, please keep up the good work, I extremely love your photographs <3
This is a very poignant photograph. Simplistic in it's lines and colors, yet the road shines and beckons you. Which one, it says? They look the same--how do we know, unless we put one foot in front of the other. The sky looks stormy, or is it just clearing? The trees are beautiful. Is there a wrong choice? Will the roads merge again? Does that matter? No, it's the journey that matters and the adventure of it all that it has too offer us in our travels; whether it be the the quiet of the journey, or the excitement of the unexpected. Thank you for sharing with this humble DA person.
Anyhow, please keep up the good work, I extremely love your photographs <3
